Wishing you a Happy New Year!

It's now the start of a new year. 2025 is over and gone. Last night I binge watched New Year’s Eve Celebrations from around the world. It was awesome to see how different countries rang in the new year. My favorite was the one in Dubai which included an amazing fireworks display as well as an elaborate water show with music, jet ski tricks, and high flying water rocket boots. And I enjoyed seeing the double ball drop in New York’s Time Square which celebrated the new year and then the kick-off to the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

What are your hopes and dreams for 2026? For me it always begins with a desire to lose some weight due to indulging too much in Christmas treats. Sure wish diet food was sweet and salty treats! However, I do love soups and salads so it’s not too hard to improve my eating habits.

My goals for 2026 include writing and publishing more books. I’ve got two books of re-imagined fairy tales coming out and maybe a third for a good box set. I’m also working on on romantic time travel Christmas novel. I’m working on that right now while I’m filled with the Christmas spirit to infuse it into my writing. I’d also like to do another Christmas picture book and a beach one. We’ll see how much will actually get accomplished.

To get you inspired for the new year, here are some great quotes to motivate you.

“Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one.” ― Brad Paisley

“We spend January 1st walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives...not looking for flaws, but for potential.” ― Ellen Goodman

"Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right." — Oprah Winfrey

"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." — Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow." — Albert Einstein

Happy New Year! Make the most of it and create wonderful memories!

And here's an eBook freebie from one of my favorite authors...
