Celebrating Christmas Books with Edith MacKenzie

For today's Christmas book, we're going "down under" to chat with an Aussie author. Loved visiting there some years ago. Read on to learn more about Edith's writing.

How did you come up with the idea for your Christmas book? Could you give a short synopsis on the book for my readers?

Boots and Mistletoe is the first book in a series of three (Mistletoe Collection) that I wrote last Christmas. I wanted to play around with having your identity tied to material things and when it seems like you should have it all, you actually lost. Australian Quinn meets Jackson when she is with a guy who doesn't treat her right, but is socially where she wants to be. Even though she has a connection with Jackson, the timing isn't right, but she never stops thinking about the cowboy. Fast forward to the following Christmas when their paths cross again.

What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?
I'm Australian, so driving around looking at Christmas lights and then my Mum's pavlova

What’s next?
I've just released a new series (my 4th) called Billionaire Lonely Hearts Club and will have a new Christmas series (Christmas Star Collection) just released this month. The first book is called The Cowboy's Christmas Star

What’s the best writing tip you’ve learned or been given you’d like to share?
Just write. Something ugly on the page is better than nothing

What do you know now about writing and publishing you wish you had learned sooner?
To give myself a break when the words aren't coming and that marketing is everything.

That's it for today. Here's your link for a FREE ebook for today
